What is “G.A.T.E.?†

The GATE program, “Gifted and Talented Education,†includes educational services designed to address the learning needs of students who have been identified to receive gifted and/or talented educational supports. GATE services in SCUSD are based on the most current research in gifted education.

Credit Recovery Program

Overview

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District is pleased to announce that we will be providing credit recovery for 9-12th grade students this summer. 

Our Credit Recovery Program will run from June 30-July 29.

Early Learning and Care Programs

Overview

SCUSD’s Early Learning and Care programs provide continuous comprehensive center-based and home-based services to expectant families, infants/toddlers, preschool and school-age children.  Children have a natural curiosity and desire to learn so they are engaged in active learning with teachers providing learning experiences based on best practices reflecting how children develop and learn. We believe that a close home/school connection is essential for children to reach their full potential.

SELPA Local Plan Assurances

There are currently 23 Federal and Local Assurances to which each SELPA and member Local Education Agency (LEA) must adhere.  In approving the Local Plan, SELPA and each member LEA agrees that they will uphold each of these assurances, and they must cite the location of each corresponding local policy and procedure.
