At the April 18 meeting of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District Board, the Board recognized Vivian Toddy as a Stellar Student. Vivian attends Albert Einstein Middle School where she participates in the GATE program and advanced band. She is very involved in the American Indian community, SCUSD’s American Indian Education Program, and is a member of the Native Youth of Â鶹ÊÓƵ youth group. Vivian is a talented musician and artist and is an accomplished student. Her teachers describe her as an excellent role model for her classmates.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District’s American Indian Education Program will hold its annual public hearing on Monday May 6, 2024 6:30 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the Serna Center.
The purpose of this meeting is to gather recommendations for the 2024-2025 Title VI Indian Education Formula grant application.

The following statement is attributed to SCUSD Board President Lavinia Phillips regarding the appointment of Lisa Allen as Superintendent:
“I’m so proud that Lisa Allen has been appointed as SCUSD’s Superintendent! Our governing board made the decision to appoint her to serve in this role, but in doing so, we were responding to feedback and requests that came from our community.

Intra-District Permits are for families who currently live within the SCUSD boundaries to request a transfer to a school that is not their neighborhood school (school of residence). Visit our to find your neighborhood school.
Permits are approved based on space availability at the requested school or specialty program.
