Contractor Prequalification
Contractor Prequalification
In order to comply with Assembly Bill (AB) 1565 that went into effect January 1, 2014, we now require all prime contractors and M/E/P Subcontractors to be prequalified if the contract is valued at $1 million or more or if the project utilizes a Lease-Leaseback delivery method.
This applies to the following license numbers:
- General Contractors (A and B)
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46)
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District has contracted with Colbi Technologies to provide a web-based process for prequalification. QualityBidders is a web-based online application that is fast, simple, safe and easy to use.
To get started, please visit , and follow the Contractor Instructions for creating an account. After creating an account, you will be able to complete the prequalification application and submit it on-line. Once you have been approved, you will receive an email indicating your approval, expiration date, and limit.
The District must receive applications at least ten (10) business days prior to the scheduled bid opening on any advertised project in order for the candidate to qualify for that project. Prequalification approval will remain valid for one (1) calendar year from the date of notice of qualification except as noted in the prequalification documents.
Please contact the Contracts Office with any questions at Robert-Aldama@scusd.edu or (916) 643-2464. You may also contact qbsupport@colbitech.com with any questions about the use of the Quality Bidders web-based tool.
Thank you for your interest in prequalifying and working with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District.
We look forward to a successful partnership.
