Question

Â鶹ÊÓƵ the Tembo Inc. contract for $66,000 for a web-based school choice calculator: What is the total cost of this project? Who will be the users of the calculator? How is this project progressing along? Will it measure parent engagement? Will there be qualitative and quantitative metrics?

Answer

The Tembo contract is part of the district’s larger Balanced Accountability Framework project, which includes the Guide to Success, a data retrieval tool that will make it easy for anyone – parents, employees, community members – to access information about SCUSD and our schools. The Stuart Foundation provided SCUSD with a $58,500 grant to cover most of the costs of this contract. The Guide to Success will include both qualitative and quantitative metrics and will measure parent engagement. We are now awaiting word on a second grant from the Stuart Foundation for $46,000, bringing the total cost of the project to $112,000.
