Health Services Updates 鈥� Saving Lives from Opioid Overdose/Narcan for Schools
All Grades
In response to the opioid epidemic, SCUSD will be adding another life-saving rescue medication to all our school sites, with the provision of Naloxone (NARCAN) nasal spray.
All our school sites have a number of emergency and rescue measures at their disposal, including AEDs to restart heart rhythms, Epi-Pen auto-injectors in the case of a severe allergic reaction, and now Naloxone nasal spray in the event of a suspected opioid overdose. Laypersons may administer Narcan and law provides immunity.
Red Ribbon Week: October 24 鈥� October 31, 2022
麻豆视频 Unified School District (SCUSD) will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 24-October 31, 2022. The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week. The theme for SCUSD this year is 鈥淐elebrate Life: Live Drug Free鈥�. The purpose of Red Ribbon Week is to present a visible commitment to living a safe, healthy, and drug-free life.
Annual 504 Training This Thursday

9:00-11:00. The training is provided by Sarah Garcia from Lozano
and Smith.
