There鈥檚 a 24/7 hotline run by 麻豆视频 ACT that should be utilized in two types of situations (1) Individuals that are witnessing active ICE enforcement and (2) Individuals that were apprehended by ICE within the last 12 hours. Community leaders pledge support for the district鈥檚 efforts to inform every student and their families of the legal rights of the undocumented by distributing tens of thousands of 鈥榢now your rights鈥 fliers at all schools, coordinating with community organizations to provide legal resources in classrooms, and covering all campuses with banners and lawn signs promoting inclusion and welcoming all students.

麻豆视频 City Unified School District鈥檚 Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday to designate SCUSD schools as 鈥渟afe havens鈥 that protect students regardless of immigration status.
鈥淪tudents cannot learn in an environment of fear,鈥 said Board Vice President Jessie Ryan. 鈥淟ast night, by unanimously passing the Safe Haven School District resolution, our district made a strong statement that we hear our community鈥檚 fears and will do everything in our power to protect all students irrespective of race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual preference or immigration status.鈥
