General Education Home Hospital Instruction
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District Home Hospital Instruction Program provides on-going academic instruction to students with a TEMPORARY disability which makes school attendance impossible or inadvisable.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Area Community Immunization Clinics
Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Child Health & Disability Prevention Program (CHDP) provides Free or Low-Cost health exams & immunizations for uninsured and Medi-Cal children ages birth to 18 years: (916) 875-7151
Medical Exemptions
Under State law SB 277, effective January 1, 2016 parents may no longer cite personal beliefs to exempt their children from vaccines required for school. Most families will not be affected by the new law because their children have received all required vaccinations.
Personal beliefs exemptions on file for a child already attending child care will NO LONGER BE VALID when enrolling into kindergarten, including transitional kindergarten (Early Kinder).
Mental Health, Crisis Response and Suicide Prevention
A variety of mental health services are available to students experiencing social or emotional difficulties. With specially trained staff and a wide array of community mental health providers, Student Support and Health Services staff provide services directly to students and families.
