SACRAMENTO, CA – After almost nine months of teacher contract negotiations, including four unsuccessful mediation meetings with the assistance of a State Mediator, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District today filed a request with the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) to conduct an independent and unbiased review of its contract offer to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Teachers Association (SCTA)—the union representing the district’s 2,400 teachers and other employees.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Schools hosting public meeting today for ‘Central Kitchen’ project
WHAT: The Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Unified School District invites the public to learn more about the launch of its Central Kitchen project at a public meeting today. SCUSD’s Central Kitchen project was approved by voters in 2012 as part of Measure R. District officials expect the Central Kitchen to help offer students healthier food options that will include more local fruits and vegetables and menu items created ‘from scratch’.
