Dear Sac City Unified Families,
Sac City Unified, like all districts in California, receives state funds to operate our schools based on the number of students enrolled in our district, and on the socio-economic status of our students. This formula is called the Local Control Funding Formula, or LCFF. The state LCFF process is the main source of funding for our schools.
We want to ensure that our district receives every dollar of state funding that our students deserve. This is why we ask every family to complete and submit an LCFF Application.

SCUSD Fall Construction Update
We wanted to give our community an update on the construction projects currently happening across Sac City Unified this Fall. These projects were prioritized according to our equity-based Facility Master Plan that can be reviewed at www.scusdplan.org.
At the Kemble/Chavez new school project, work is now being done to build the new stage. At the Nicholas Elementary new school rebuild site, the wood framing and plumbing is being installed in classrooms.

Applications accepted November 4 - 22
The SCUSD High School Specialty Program application window officially opens Monday, November 4 at 8:00am and will run through Friday, November 22 at 5:00pm. This is an opportunity for your student to apply for enrollment in a high school specialty program for the 2025-2026 school year, based on space availability.
