Program Information
Media students will embark on a 3-year CTE Pathway, with classes beginning their sophomore year. Students will gain knowledge of industry practices and professional expectations working with studio lighting, producing videos, editing images, creating digital illustrations, and graphic design. Students will take advantage of our on-campus production studio and gain knowledge and skills using industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.

Program Information
Engineering, Construction & Design (ECD) students will thrive in a challenging, yet supportive and integrated academic program while exploring and solving real world problems, through industry sponsored project-focused experiences. ECD students will apply skills and knowledge gained from integrating academic content and work-based learning opportunities to explore answers to a variety of important questions and challenges faced in the 21st century.
Rosemont Culinary Academy

Program Information
The Culinary Academy prepares students for college and workplace through the study of Culinary Arts, Environmental Science and Urban Agriculture. Our program places an emphasis on teaching sustainability as a responsibility of industry and individuals. Learn to cook in a professional kitchen and work in the school gardens on campus while taking classes required for graduation and college admissions.

Register for Transitional Kindergarten
To be eligible to register for transitional kindergarten:
- For the 2024-2025 school year, children must be five years old September 2, 2024, through June 2, 2025.
- For the 2025–2026 school year, children who will turn four years old by September 1, 2025 are eligible.

If your child was born after June 2, 2025, you can fill out the to be contacted on or after August 19, 2024, if space is available for your student in one of our Transitional Kindergarten classrooms.

Immunization Requirements
California schools are required to check immunization records for all new student admissions at TK/Kindergarten through 12th grade. Parent/guardians must show their child’s Immunization Record as proof of immunization. Families will be required to upload their student’s Immunization Record as part of the registration process.

John F. Kennedy AP Capstone/PACE
Grades 9-12
Program Information
AP Capstone/PACE offers students a four-year advanced academic program and JFK is the only SCUSD school to offer this program. Each AP Capstone student takes a rigorous college-prep curriculum, including cohorted English and History courses in grade 9 to prepare them for AP Seminar in place of English 10. As juniors, they take AP Research. Additionally, students must take at least 4 other AP classes to qualify for the AP Capstone diploma. Students who complete the two-year program of AP Seminar and AP Research can earn one of two different awards.
